Gateway Classic Cars is now featuring this 1979 Plymouth Volare for sale in the Detroit Showroom.
The Volare was introduced in the Chrysler lineup primarily as a rebranded variant of the Dodge Aspen which were both compact cars designed with better fuel mileage in mind for the fuel crisis faced in that time. While they were the successors to the A-Body cars, the Duster, Valiant, and Dart were sold along side these cars until the A-Bodies were discontinued in 1976 while the Aspen and Volare had their production span between 1975 to 1980. The Volare hit a stride of success becoming Motor Trend's 1976 Car of the Year which would translate into the quality of these nice cars for a few years to come. Under the hood of the Plymouth lies a 225 cubic inch slant-6 supplying ever reliable performance and is regarded as one of the most bulletproof engines every made by the Chrysler Corporation. The 6-popper is backed by an A904 3-speed automatic transmission which helps transfer energy back to a Chrysler Corporate 7.25-inch rear axle featuring 2:76 gears showing that this thing is ready to take on the highways. The Volare is equipped with power steering, power brakes, AM radio, and air conditioning. It would be a shame to miss out on this awesome little car so don't miss your chance to become the next person in the driver's seat!
