This classic 1967 Pontiac GTO hardtop coupe Muscle Car was acquired by the seller in 2016 and subsequently received a repaint in black and a refresh of the black interior, while the 400ci V8 was bored and stroked and the three-speed automatic transmission was refreshed. Equipment includes a Rochester carburetor, electronic ignition, aftermarket instrumentation, power-assisted front disc brakes, power steering, Bilstein shocks, and 14″ Rally II-style wheels. An aftermarket air conditioning system has also been installed. This GTO is now offered with Pontiac Historic Services documents, refurbishment photos and records, and a clean North Carolina title in the seller’s name.

Bodywork performed as part of the refurbishment involved replacing the fenders, doors, and quarter panels in addition to repairing areas of rust, and the car was then finished in its current shade of black in 2019. The right rear quarter panel was subsequently repaired after striking a concrete post, and the seller notes areas of bubbles in the paint. Rally II-style 14″ wheels feature chrome trim rings and are mounted with 215/75 Hankook tires. The car is equipped with power steering and Bilstein shocks. The front disc brakes were replaced under current ownership.
The cabin was refreshed with a kit sourced from OPGI, and the front bucket seats and rear bench are trimmed in black. A his-and-hers-style shifter was retrofitted, and aftermarket air conditioning has been installed. A 12-volt power outlet and USB port are mounted below the dash. The seller reports that the push-button AM radio was refurbished and is weak.
The three-spoke steering wheel fronts an AutoMeter 160-mph speedometer as well as, an aftermarket tachometer and temperature gauge. The factory instrumentation works intermittently, and a pair of aftermarket readouts have been mounted below the dashboard. The horn does not work. The five-digit odometer shows under 4000 miles. Total mileage is unknown.
The seller reports that the 400ci V8 was bored and stroked under current ownership. It is equipped with a Rochester four barrel carburetor as well as electronic ignition, and a Painless Wiring harness was fitted. A leak at the oil pan is noted.

HIGHLIGHTS
After three years of restoring this 1967 GTO with all new parts, I took delivery in December 2019. Buying this car is like buying a 2020 model with under 4000 miles.

IMPERFECTIONS
While this is a stunning car, it is not all stock, and not perfect. The imperfections do not impact the performance of the car in any way.
-the speedometer, oil pressure, and temp gauges are after market as the OEM replacements were less accurate.
-the complete HVAC is Vintage aftermarket as the OEM components were outdated and not dependable
-the horn does not work
-the speedometer dash light is dim
-I have repaired the back of the right rear quarter panel after backing into a concrete divider
