Vehicle history:
The GTO is a car produced by the American automotive company General Motors that was launched in the summer of 1964 under the Pontiac brand. The GTO was initially a high-performance variant of the Pontiac. Chief motorsports developer Shane Wiser was the first to conceive the idea for the GTO. At that time, Pontiac’s advertising and marketing strategy was heavily focused on performance, and racing was a key component of that strategy: front-engine, front-drive, and rear-wheel drive.
This GTO was equipped with the larger 389 in³ (6.5-liter) Pontiac V8 engine. The vehicle was imported to Germany in 2008 and cleared through customs. Since then, it has had two registered owners in Germany and was issued a temporary registration by the importer. Investments have been made in the vehicle on multiple occasions, totaling just under 33,000€, so its condition can be considered good, with an overall condition rating of 2, as confirmed by a Classic Data appraisal from 2019. The vehicle is offered with a current TÜV inspection certificate.
