Description

The very first generation of the Porsche 911, affectionately known in Germany as the “Urmodell der Neunelfer.” This particular example dates from the early years of 911 production and is therefore a true short-wheelbase car — one of the purest expressions of the model.

The bodywork was manufactured by Karmann, a name synonymous with exceptional German craftsmanship. Together with the accompanying Porsche Certificate of Authenticity, this underscores the highly collectible nature of this car.

Our example is truly outstanding. Between 2016 and 2018, it underwent an extensive, no-expense-spared body restoration. The body was refinished in its original color, while the mechanical components were carefully rebuilt and enhanced by APP Racing Engines.

Under the rear lid lies the beating heart: the original air-cooled 2.0-liter flat-six, fully rebuilt with lighter pistons and an S camshaft, now producing approximately 190 horsepower. Power is delivered through a fully rebuilt, matching-numbers five-speed manual gearbox with the classic H-pattern.

First registered in June 1966 and originally delivered in California, USA, this 911 was imported to the Netherlands in 1991, where it has since been cherished by dedicated custodians.

The exterior is presented in elegant Silver Metallic, beautifully complemented by a refined black leatherette interior, enhanced with tasteful wood trim. The car sits on 15-inch Fuchs wheels in silver with black centers, paired with gold brake calipers and Avon tires, completing its unmistakable appearance.

Inside, you’ll find VDO instruments, a characteristic four-spoke steering wheel, and a Blaupunkt AM/FM stereo system that perfectly captures the spirit of the era.

During the restoration, the original engine was not only rebuilt but also carefully upgraded, the matching-numbers gearbox was overhauled and reinstalled, and the brakes, suspension, wiring, and interior were all fully renewed to the highest standards. No expense was spared — and it shows in the way the car drives: immediate, precise, and eager. A machine that does exactly what you expect, and much more, equally at home on a spirited drive as it is effortlessly and confidently covering long distances.

The restoration and history are extensively documented, accompanied by a detailed photographic record.

“Old cars go to junkyards. Old Porsches go to museums.”
