A rare and extraordinary opportunity to acquire a Porsche 997 that bridges road and race. Originally delivered as a GT3 RS 3.8 , this car was transformed into a faithful GT3 RSR specification build, using only genuine Porsche Motorsport components. The result is a machine with the dramatic presence of a factory RSR, yet fully road-registered and usable.
This Porsche 911 GT3 RS 3.8 was purchased new in 2011 in Monaco by its first owner, who immediately commissioned a complete RSR-style conversion through MCG Propulsion in France under the direction of Clément Ghielmini. The build was personally overseen by renowned French Porsche racing driver Christophe Lapierre, ensuring that the car met true motorsport standards. Over the course of eight months, all bodywork and aerodynamic components were sourced directly from Porsche Motorsport, making this a truly authentic RSR-specification project.
The car made its public debut at Paradis Porsche 2012 in Saint-Tropez, where it was celebrated as one of the highlights of the event and frequently mistaken for a genuine factory-built RSR. Its importance within the Porsche community was further underlined by a feature in the January 2015 issue of Flat 6 magazine.
Mechanically, the car retains its factory-spec 450 hp engine, but thanks to the kevlar-carbon RSR panels and simplified exhaust system, it is approximately 100 kg lighter than standard. The bodywork is a full RSR kevlar-carbon kit, including widened arches, reprofiled rear wheel housings, modified fuel system fittings, and custom exhaust integration. Suspension was upgraded with bespoke shortened dampers (-8 cm), while maintaining PASM functionality. The car runs on custom 19-inch wheels designed to replicate the 18-inch RSR racing stance. Inside, it retains the comfort of the RS, with Alcantara trim, the factory front-axle lift system, and all original options, making it both authentic and surprisingly usable on the road.
