Description

See for information in English down belowPorsche 928 coupé 1978 in 'Hellblau Metallic'- Early 1978 model (model year 1979)- Hellblau Metallic with special Pasha interior- Odometer reading only 105,589 KM- Manual 'Dogleg' transmission- Matching numbers- Porsche ''Geburtsurkunde'' Certificate- Recent extensive maintenance (including timing belt) at 928 specialist (€3500,-), There is much to tell about the then very advanced Porsche 928. What many people do not know is that the 928 was supposed to succeed the legendary 911 series. This (fortunately) did not become a reality. Although the 928 was a relatively successful model, the traditional 911 also remained a sought-after model and remained in production. The 928 was produced starting in 1978. The one we offer is an early built example and was delivered new in 1978 in Germany. Options ordered were electronically adjustable door mirrors, power adjustable seats, power antenna, air conditioning and tinted windows. Recent major maintenance performed at 928 specialist which included replacement of timing belt, water pump, oil + filter, etc. Invoice of €3500 is present. All body parts fit well together, the car is rust free and the composition is stunning: a light blue color "Hellblau Metallic", original alloy wheels and a Pasha interior. This distinctive checkered interior is executed with a hint of blue and is quite unique. The dasboard is free of cracks in the dash. The engine compartment is dry and the car drives, shifts and brakes very well. Recent upgrades include the clutch, pressure plate, thrust bearing and battery. Most 928s come with an automatic transmission but this example is equipped with the coveted and faster manual ''Dogleg'' transmission. Porsche advertised at the time with the phrase "from 0 to 100 km/h and back to 0 in just 10 sec" to indicate that both acceleration and braking power were above average. Porsche also described the 928 as three cars in één: a sports car with good performance, a comfortable, luxurious coupé and an expedient, practical vehicle suitable for long distances and almost no maintenance. These words are nothing too much to say: in addition to excellent driving characteristics, the car is richly equipped with 4 seats, air conditioning, cruise control and power windows and mirrors, among others. Included with the car are a manual from 1979, maintenance bills and a Car-Pass validating the low mileage of 105,589 km. This example in the beautiful blue metallic color with beautiful interior is well maintained and an increasingly sought after youngtimer and thus an addition to any collection. General information about the Porsche 928 The Porsche 928 was introduced in 1977 as a luxury 2+2 GT car. Due to increasingly stringent safety requirements, it had to succeed the popular 911. It was the first Porsche with a V8 engine and the first Porsche available with an automatic transmission. The design was revolutionary and thanks to the powerful, water-cooled 4.5 -liter V8 engine with 240 hp, the car had an acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in 6.6 seconds and a top speed of 230 km/h. The focus was on lightweight construction: the engine is therefore built of aluminum, as are several body parts and the bumpers are plastic. Otherwise, everything is electric or pneumatic. That it is a technically complex vehicle is evidenced by the more than 1,000 plug connections and 3 kilometers of electrical wiring present in the car. In 1978, the 928 won the title of "Car of the Year". The Porsche 928 is the only sports car to ever receive this title! Consequently, sales figures were good. In 1995, production ceased and the 928 was succeeded by the Porsche 968. The 928 is now considered a sought-after youngtimer and has a group of loyal fans with even a Porsche 928 Club in the Netherlands.Porsche 928 coupé 1978 in ‘Hellblau Metallic’- Early 1978 model (model year 1979)- Hellblau Metallic with special Pasha interior- Odometer reading only 105,589 KM- Dogleg' manual transmission- Matching numbers- Porsche birth certificate Certificate- Recent extensive servicing (including timing belt) at 928 specialist (€3500,-),There is much to tell about the then highly advanced Porsche 928.
