2008 PORSCHE BOXSTER RS 60 SPYDER (987.1) #717/1960
All RS 60 models were finished in GT Silver Metallic (M7Z), and this example is equipped with a power-operated black convertible top. Additional equipment includes a SportDesign aero package, a rear spoiler, a gloss black windshield surround, all-red taillights, Bi-Xenon headlights, body-color roll bars, and dual center Sport Exhaust system.
The 19″ SportDesign wheels were fitted with 5mm spacers from the factory and are mounted with matching Continental Extreme Contact DW tires, 235/35 ZR 19 Front and 265/35 ZR 19 Rear. Some curb rash is noted on the rims. Porsche Stability Management (PSM) and Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM) dampers were standard equipment. Braking is handled by four-piston Porsche-branded red calipers over cross-drilled rotors measuring 12.5″ and 11.8″ front and rear, respectively. A complete brake job was performed Sept 2023 with new rotors and ceramic brake pads.
The cabin features power-adjustable seats upholstered in Dark Gray Natural leather along with a color-coordinated dashboard and carpets found only on the RS 60 Spyder. Amenities include Porsche Communication Management, a Bose sound system, wind deflector, automatic climate control, and cruise control. The seatbacks are noted to have scuffs.
A serialized plaque on the glovebox door denotes the car as #717 of 1,960 RS 60 Spyders produced worldwide.
The leather-wrapped steering wheel frames a hoodless instrument cluster housing a central 8k-rpm tachometer, a 190-mph speedometer, and gauges for fuel level and coolant temperature. The car is equipped with the Sport Chrono Package Plus. The digital odometer indicates 71k miles.
The mid-mounted 3.4-liter flat-six is located ahead of the rear cargo area and was factory rated at 303 horsepower and 251 lb-ft of torque. All new coil packs and spark plugs were installed in Sept 2023. An oil change was carried out in June 2025.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a six-speed manual transaxle. The RS 60 Spyder featured a revised sports exhaust system from the factory with incredible sound, which can be disabled.
