Description

Auto Storica is pleased to announce the sale of this Prince Super Miler.

Don't worry if you're unfamiliar with Prince; the Japanese brand was never officially marketed in Europe, and its history was rather short, having been founded in 1947. Nineteen years later, in 1966, it was acquired by Nissan.

Does the legendary Skyline model ring a bell? Well, it wasn't a Nissan creation, but rather a Prince Motor Company creation. The first Skyline was launched in 1957, as was the first Super Miler. To save costs, the sedan and pickup shared several parts, the most notable being the front end. For this reason, our model features the same dual-lens front end as the beautiful 1964 Prince Skyline Sport Coupe.

At this point, you might be wondering how such a vehicle came to be in our country if, as we mentioned before, it was never officially offered; the story of our model is, to say the least, curious.

Its first owner, the father of its current owners, ordered it exclusively from Prince to carry out transport work for his marble company. He did so through Fernando Poo, a Spanish province located in Guinea, when Guinea was a Spanish colony. In fact, the first license plate, which is still preserved on the vehicle as a souvenir, belongs to said colony.

Furthermore, there are no records of any Prince Super Miler in Europe, much less with left-hand drive, since, being destined for Asia, they all left the factory with the steering wheel on the right side. A curious configuration that makes this Japanese pickup truck a unique model. A rare and very reliable classic.

Because this pickup truck has provided its owners with uninterrupted service, without any notable breakdowns, for more than 40 years of work, until it earned a well-deserved retirement from the workforce in the late 1990s.

Twenty years later, we woke it from its slumber to receive it at our facilities. After checking all the levels, and to our surprise, it started without any major problems. Japanese reliability.

It's obvious that it needs a thorough restoration to look like new, but it will surely reward you for every penny invested with days full of unforgettable memories. If you like exclusivity and love getting your hands dirty, this vehicle is the ideal choice. Ready to enjoy this exclusive piece of Japanese history?
