Renault introduced the Alpine Turbo during 1982. The engine layout is Inline FWD, including a 1397cc turbo engine.

This cost over £9,000. Next on the list was suspension work, resulting in a full upgrade, utilising Bilstein springs and shocks all round - costing a further £2500.
