history
The Rolls-Royce Corniche is the most exclusive luxury travel convertible of its time with really enough space for 4 people. It was built from 1971 to 1987. The Corniche was handcrafted by British bodywork specialists Mulliner Park Ward. Equipped with a 3-speed automatic, ventilated disc brakes at the front and rear, air conditioning, a wonderful Connolly leather interior, elaborately finished wood in the doors and dashboard, as well as lots of chrome and what is probably the most famous radiator mascot "Spirit of Ectasy" or Emily, it radiates Rolly Royce the "Noblesse Oblige" gracefully to this day. This Rolls Royce was really not cheap and so it is hardly surprising that only a few of the really rich, important and beautiful ordered one of the 3239 dream convertibles built by Rolls Royce. To this day, this corniche is still a statement.
History of the offered vehicle
This Rolls Royce Corniche is the first series, recognizable by the chrome bumpers and the nicer instrumentation. It was originally delivered from the factory as left-hand drive, probably in the USA. Until 1990, no trace of it was lost, when this corniche was registered for the first time in Sweden. We were allowed to buy this convertible from the 2nd and last Swedish owner. The mileage odometer reads just over 22,000 miles. The interior and leather are new and almost certainly the original equipment. Wood, carpet, engine, chassis, hood, everything almost perfect. Only the paintwork needs to be improved, which we will now do, hence the few photos. On the passenger side there is a garage bump and small stone chips to be removed. Then we can hand over a very slightly patinated, largely very original Corniche to the new owner. The color combination is very classy and elegant. A fantastic very stylish four seater convertible, perfect for unforgettable trips to sunny climes.
