Description

The kilometers reported are not certifiable and presumably do not correspond to the truth.
It has the original license plate and registration book from 1971, the year it was first registered in Italy.
The 20/25 is a passenger car built by Rolls-Royce from 1929 to 1936. It replaced the Twenty. It was originally designed to be driven by owners, but many examples were later driven by chauffeurs.
The engine was similar to the six-cylinder mounted by the Twenty. The displacement, compared to the latter model, was increased to 3699 cm³. The bore was increased to 82 mm from 76 mm in the aforementioned model, while the stroke was not changed and remained at 114 mm. The powerplant was fitted with a single carburetor, and ignition was both coil and magnet ignition. The gearbox was a four-speed with the lever on the driver's right; from 1932 a synchronized gearbox was fitted for third and fourth gears.
Suspension was semi-elliptical leaf spring on both axles with brakes on all four wheels assisted by mechanical power brakes. Instead, the hand brake, with a separate system, acted only on the rear wheels. The model mounted the famous radiator with triangular top and vertical slats. In early examples, the radiator louvers were operated manually by a lever on the dashboard. This was used to vary the air flow rate over the radiator. Later examples had an automatic device consisting of a thermostat.
Thanks to the larger powerplant than the one mounted on the Twenty, the car reached a speed of 121 mph. Many owners weighed down the bodywork to make it more luxurious; the consequence was a loss in performance.
