Presently in Normandy, prior to which the car spent 5 ears in Monpazier, Perigord, this Balmoral Green ( metallic green) example with 65000 miles - 1969 miles in each of its 34 years, is in exceptional and original condition. It has a full service history ( every 6000 miles or every six months, mostly with authorised dealers) on paper and receipts and details of minor work carried out over the years. Originally supplied by Jack Barclay in London ( and costing nearly 90000 pounds) the present owner was the Public Relations Manager of Rolls-Royce in the 1970s and is very familiar with the marque, having driven many different examples for over 40 years. He still writes regularly for the Rolls-Royce Enthusiasts’ Club magazine and for various other publications about the marque and its history. This particular car has never been taken out in the rain ( 14 years) and has now been ‘resting’ in a heated barn for over two years ( owing to Covid ) but has been driven every 10 days, for a sufficient amount of time to bring the engine temperature to normal. It was last serviced in Cancun Perigord.
Cars ore often advertised as being in superb condition but in the case of this car it is a very accurate description. The carpets, lambs’ wool rugs and the walnut dashboard and door capping are all in superb condition, as is the magnolia hide seating with green piping. The battery is excellent so too is the original tool kit and there’s even a set of workshop manuals in English, plus a handbook and lots of relevant paperwork. The price of this car, which took three months to build, with a handmade engine, is 29000 euros. It would be difficult to find a more original and beautifully preserved example.
