Silver Wraith #WYA75 is an example of an early series of Silver Wraiths that were produced after WW II. The chassis was produced in 1947 and delivered to Harwood Coachworks in Great Yarmouth in Norfolk, UK. Quite an effort has been made by famous authors to find out more about this now defunct coachbuilder, however without result. Only one car has been manufactured by Harwood on a Rolls-Royce or Bentley chassis, making this car a very rare one-off.
The first owner was Mr H. Austin who took delivery of his car in August 1950.
This Silver Wraith has been restored in the nineties and is still in super good and beautiful condition outside, inside and at the bottom of the car. Recently the following work was performed: the engine oil and the filter were replaced, service was performed, the valve seals were replaced and the valves were adjusted, the coolant was replaced, the spark plugs and cables were replaced, the rotor was replaced, the ignition was checked and adjusted, the fuel gauge was repaired, the master cylinder was overhauled, all brakes were checked, cleaned and adjusted, the brake fluid was replaced and the system was bleeded, the clutch dics, clutch release assembly and thrust bearing were replaced and the flywheel was sharpened.
