Motodrome offer this 1969/G example of the stately Rover P5b
All P5b’s, whether saloon (as this one) or Coupe, with the Rover V8 motor, automatic transmission, power steering, and decent brakes, are supremely useable in modern-day traffic
This one is finished in striking Bordeaux Red, with full red leather
Fitted with heated rear window, manual choke conversion, electric fuel pump and electronic ignition. It’s also fitted with front headrests, and inertia reel front seat belts.
Odometer reading 34000 miles - it’s be nice if that was correct, but we think it’s more likely 134000 miles.
The previous owner tells us that the car was restored and repainted (in the original colour) in 2022-23, including, but not limited to, rust in the sills cut out and replaced with new metal, new window seals all round, including the windscreen seal, all the chrome work replaced, a reconditioned gearbox fitted, and new ethanol-compatible fuel lines (although I still wouldn’t recommend using E10 fuel in it, as they were designed for high-octane fuel so E5 is still best.)
He further tells us it was serviced summer 2024.
It glides down the road as a P5b should
On our own website, you’ll find our usual comprehensive video package, which, along with the extensive pictures, form part of the description.
