Developed within the Type Four project, a partnership between Saab, Fiat, Lancia and Alfa Romeo, the Saab 9000 marked a new chapter in the history of the Swedish brand. Although it shared its platform with other models of the group, it was extensively developed by Saab with a focus on safety, build quality and mechanical strength. The Turbo versions quickly became the reference of the range, offering a remarkable balance of performance, comfort and reliability.
This car was first registered in February 1990 and has an increasingly rare feature, it was bought new by the current owner and has stayed with him ever since, as shown by its documents. It has the 2.0 16-valve Turbo engine, manual gearbox, electric sunroof, working air conditioning and grey leather seats. It keeps its original configuration and is certified as a Vehicle of Historic Interest (VIH) in Portugal.
Despite around 344,000 km, it is in good overall condition, with straight bodywork, well presented paint and an interior showing only natural wear, reflecting the care it has always received.
Finding a Saab 9000 Turbo today is uncommon. Finding a Portuguese, one-owner-from-new example, certified as a Vehicle of Historic Interest and preserved in its original configuration is an increasingly rare opportunity.
