Initially renowned for its aircraft engines, the French company Salmson quickly turned to the automotive sector. Designed by André Lombard, the AL 3 model manufactured in 1924 proved to be one of the most efficient cyclecars of its generation. At the front of the vehicle is an engine coupled to a 3-speed gearbox. This allows the car to have a maximum speed of 110km/h, a sustained pace and great reliability. To give it a sporty look, the roadster bodywork reveals a two-door, two-seat convertible that is characterised by its weight.
Our example has been restored a few years ago, and an overhaul should enable it to be driven again quickly.
