Model History:

In 1926 Giorgio Ambrosini, an amateur pilot, founded S.I.A.T.A. in Turin.
Acronym for Società Italiana Applicazioni Tecniche Auto-Aviatorie, dedicated to the production of components for the elaboration of mainly Fiat cars.
In 1937 Ambrosini took over Andrea Mantelli's ?Carrozzeria Italiana? and began the design of small auxiliary engines up to the production of
cars, changing the name of the company to Società Italiana Auto Trasformazioni Accessori active from the postwar period until the 1970s.
The first car branded S.I.A.T.A. was the Amica, a small 2-seater convertible, produced in two versions, the AMICA 49 (1948/1949) with a tubular perimeter chassis built in only 50 examples (of which our car is a part), the second version was the AMICA 50 (1950/1952), built with a steel box chassis that allowed for the containment of production costs and greater speed in the preparation of the cars, of the second series the production was about 300 cars.

Our car

As anticipated our car is part of the first production of about 50 cars built with tubular chassis of which to date only 14 are still on the road.
This car has had a recent full body and mechanical restoration.
In particular the mechanical parts, engine gearbox transmission suspension have undergone a full restoration.
Engine mounts double carburetor with original Siata manifold, matching number monoblock has been rebuilt, high compression pistons have been fitted.
Car has just been reimmaticulated in Italy and is ready to use for any event.
The avettura has certificate of historicity issued by the FIAT registry, are in the process of issuing the CSAI certificate ASI and FIVA homologation and registration to register thousand miles.
