Replica of the racing car of the time. This car, with its chassis designed by Matra, was built in only five examples: two berlinettes, two very light spiders (615 kg!) And a "van" built on the basis of a light spider.
This vehicle is a replica built in 1992-1993 by two enthusiasts (Mr. FORTUNA and Mr. POIX).
It is a beautiful replica 70% identical to the model visible at the MATRA museum in Romorantin.
The differences with regard to an original model relate to the manufacture (and not the design) of the running gear, a more modern interior (seats, steering wheel, gearbox and handbrake control), a branded gearbox HEWLAND instead of an original Porsche.
This replica was recognized by Mr. CHAPPE who gave it the N ° 7 (plate CG MC 1992-07)

Frame:
The design of the chassis is based on the design of the initial models, namely a mechanically welded and riveted central structure and two front and rear tubular cradles for fixing the running gear.

Bodywork:
short nose, optical as the original.
Very clean body, close to new, in resin and laminate composite material.

Motor:
The engine is the Chrysler JRD 4 cylinder (2400cc) dry sump, dual ignition engine. It works without smoke, without abnormal noise with good cyclic regularity.
Dry sump lubricated motor.
4 in 1 exhaust, original WEBER carburettors.
This engine has just been overhauled by a trainer from Lorraine (Bastien Racing), a specialist in racing cars.

Gearbox:
The completely revised HEWLAND brand 5-speed gearbox.
New clutch control.

Running gear:
The running gears conform to the original.
Competition type with a triangulated design with Uniball ball joints and combined springs. Apart from the design of the triangles of more modern design than the origin, the whole takes again the philosophy of the origin.
Brakes and shock absorbers redone.

Upholstery and interior:
The original instrument panel (competition type) is in very good presentation and working condition.
The steering wheel is OMP brand.
The seats are bucket type.
The flooring is competition type (aluminum).
6-point hoop and harness.
