The Pinzgauer is a family of all-terrain vehicles with four-wheel drive (4×4 and 6×6) and high mobility, used mainly by defense customers. The model was originally developed in the late 1960s and produced by the Steyr-Daimler-Puch automaker in Graz, Austria, and so named in reference to the Austrian Pinzgauer (or Noriker) horse breed. The Pinzgauer, production of which continued until the end of the century, decommissioned at the end of its operational life and sold on the civilian market was very popular among collectors of military vehicles, used by their owners at themed events. Features All Pinzgauers of the first series are equipped with: 2.5-liter air-cooled 4-cylinder engine, with the exception of some late-production 712 models, which were generally set up as ambulances.
