1927 Sunbeam 16.9hp Tourer
Registration Number: OX2509
Coming to us in utterly original but far better then oily rag condition; This car has had massive work done to it mechanically but pleasingly retains its patinated original persona along with cracked paint & original carpets & leather. A huge bill file comes with the car for assorted works done including line boring the engine & fitting new shells etc. The car thus runs beautifully & has been used last year as the daily driver of the owner of a small collection of Sunbeam cars. You really have to drive & experience a Sunbeam to appreciate what great cars they are.
The coachwork is Sunbeams own made in Wolverhampton & taking the form of a 4 seat open tourer with full hood & side screens for inclement days. There is also a fold up Auster style screen to protect the rear passengers with yellowed translucent original inserts.
The leather interior unsurprisingly shows some wear & patination but is in excellent order. To the outside isBlue paintwork over black wings with age related cracks giving the car a real character & vintage feel. The car is on four cast artillery style wheels shod with excellent tyres. Twin sidemounts are fitted to the running boards as is a shell fuel can.
