Vehicle history:
Toyota J40 is the model designation for the Toyota Land Cruiser Series 40, which was manufactured by Toyota in Japan from 1960 to 1984. In 1974, the BJ40 and BJ43 models were introduced as the first “B” models. They were equipped with 3.0-liter inline-4 diesel engines.
This Land Cruiser was delivered new in Portugal in 1980. After 40 years, the car was then completely restored down to the last screw by a specialist. This model is the short-wheelbase diesel variant, the BJ40. After the restoration, a collector from Germany purchased this car along with another BJ40 that had also been perfectly restored. The collector has already had a full inspection carried out in Germany. This Toyota can now be registered at any time with an “H” license plate for historical vehicles. Additionally, this BJ40 is equipped with a trailer hitch.
