Description

The Triumph Herald 13/60 Convertible belongs to the final development phase of the Herald series, introduced in the late 1950s as a compact family car with a separate chassis and body panels. Triumph positioned the model as an accessible vehicle with simple technology, offering variants such as sedan, coupe, station wagon, and convertible. The Herald was available in multiple versions and became a recognizable model within the British lineup of that period.

The 13/60 version was an evolution of earlier Herald models, featuring a modified engine within the four-cylinder lineup. The Triumph Herald 13/60 Convertible continued to serve the market for affordable convertibles, emphasizing practicality and low-maintenance engineering. Its distinctive styling by Michelotti, combined with its compact dimensions, gives it a unique place within the Herald family.

Produced in the later years of the 1968 model, this car was still positioned as the entry-level model in Triumph’s lineup. The Herald family was produced in large numbers and played a significant role in Triumph’s international exports. The Triumph Herald 13/60 Convertible represents the final phase of a series that showcased British engineering and compact open-top design.

This Triumph Herald 13/60 Convertible is an original factory-built model that has undergone a body-off restoration using exclusively original parts. It is painted in Old English White, complementing its classic character. The engine was fully overhauled during restoration, with engine bearings and other components replaced. A power brake booster was added to improve braking performance.

Attention to detail is evident in its finishing touches. A new soft top cover was custom-made with hidden magnetic strips, ensuring no visible fasteners on the rear fender. An interior cover is included to protect the interior without needing the soft top installed. The car is in good condition, runs and drives well, and is exempt from road tax and the mandatory vehicle inspection (APK).

The Triumph Herald 13/60 Convertible combines a late-model Herald series with an original convertible body, a body-off restoration with original parts, and practical modifications. It is finished in Old English White, with a serviced engine featuring new bearings and a power brake booster. For a better impression, attending the viewing day is recommended.
