The photos are sample photos of a Spitfire prepared by us
When British Leyland took over the ailing Triumph factory in 1961, they found the "Bomb", which was designed in 1957, hidden under a tarpaulin. A design by Michelotti, which was immediately built under the direction of British Leyland and was presented to the interested public for the first time as the Spitfire in 1962 at the London Motor Show. As early as 1964, the slightly modified, but most beautifully shaped MK2 came onto the market. It is one of the loveliest, most beautifully shaped small convertibles that ever saw the "light of the world". This heartbreaker - with its 735kg total weight - is extremely manoeuvrable and quite sporty. The MK 2 also benefits from the modified chassis with improved independent suspension and additional wishbones.
This Spitfire is being restored by Scuderia Sportiva Colonia and refined with the elegant bonnet of the GT6.
