motodrome are pleased to offer this lovely 1972 Triumph Stag 3.0 manual/overdrive, finished in vibrant Tahiti Blue with saddle tan trim, fully equipped with both hardtop and soft top
fitted with power steering, electric windows, alloy wheels.
Also fitted with StagWeber conversion to Weber 38DGMS carburettor, giving better response, economy and reliability, and also their upgraded cooling system header tank modification, electronic ignition, H4 headlights, more modern stereo with USB port and electric aerial, rear seat belts, Moto Lita steering wheel, wind deflector and rear tonneau cover.
Showing just 43000 miles on the odometer, this example has very good history from 2006. The last owner has spent a considerable amount of money in his near 4 year ownership including
• Full service September 2024 at 42300m
• New blue mohair hood and frame with thicker plastic rear window with heavy-duty zip fitted 2022
• All seats retrimmed and fitted with new foams 2022
• New front seat belts 2023
• Upgraded dashboard wood fitted 2023
• All 4 wheels refurbished 2024
Digging through the history, we find it was first restored in 2006, a reconditioned rear diif was fitted in 2008 at 28000m, a new clutch, reconditioned gearbox and overdrive fitted 2010, the engine rebuilt in 2011 with new timing chains, sprockets, water pump and rebuilt cylinder heads, new power steering pump 2013.
It went to AM Restorations, well known for their Stag work, in 2013 to be restored again at a cost of £9000, with new inner and outer sills, arches, and floorpan. There is a file of pictures of this, and a CD rom.
We have the original style handbook in the correct wallet.
On test on arrival it performed absolutely superbly, and certainly put a smile on my face – it’s truly a joy to drive with a wonderful V8 soundtrack.
