CURIOSITY/HISTORY VEHICLE: In 1957 one of the most iconic sports cars of the postwar era debuted: the Triumph TR3 "Bocca Stretta." Produced by the historic Triumph Motor Company as the successor model to the TR2, it is distinguished by its front grille -- hence the nickname -- and the perfect balance of high performance and British elegance.

In an era marked by a growing passion for sports cars, the TR3 stood out for its brilliant engine -- a 2.0 with about 100 hp, which allowed it to touch 170 mph, important numbers for the time -- for its excellent handling and for its classy, bold design, capable of interpreting the free, adventurous and sophisticated spirit of the 1950s and 1960s.

The iconic narrow front grille, in addition to defining its nickname, gives the car a sharp, distinctive profile while improving aerodynamics. Slightly raised headlights and a tapered front end complete a sporty, refined aesthetic. The steel body, with clean lines and smooth curves, expresses robustness. The low seating position, sports steering wheel and front disc brakes -- a rarity for the time -- ensure a responsive and engaging driving experience.
