The Aston Martin DB2/4 was a sportscar hand-built and sold by Aston Martin from 1957 through 1959.

This lovely example is an Aston Martin DB2/4 III Saloon from 1957 with Tickford body. An extremely desirable and collectible MK III in original factory RHD. One of only 462 produced. Very rare!

2.922 cc which delivers 178 hp which is good for a top speed of 193 km/h.

This example here is chassis number AM300/3/1433 with engine number DBA1059 and is still equipped with its original engine, so the car is a ”matching number” example.
The colour combination is also very tasteful and stylish, the body is painted in dark blue exterior with a lovely shine and grey leather interior and a re-trim of all carpeting, also in grey. A very nice classic combination. The colour is not its original colour; the car used to be white exterior with black leather interior when it was built in 1957. The car presents herself in very good state and condition and has a charming patina.

The first owner was a Mr. W. Griffith from Somerset who owned the car until 1960. It was then sold to a long-standing Aston Martin Club member called Mr. Green. His son-in-Law inherited the car in 2003 and had it restored to its former glory. He was a mechanical engineer and carried out a complete body-off nut and bolt restoration on the car.

This Aston Martin is in very good technical condition and benefits from a recent major service and maintenance check.
The car is part of a great collection and current owner enjoyed the car on several occasions and tours. A real driver’ s car! The car has lots of character and is a blast to drive. Engine has a beautiful sound, it accelerates great, drives and shifts smoothly and has a responsive steering.

It is registered in Germany on German numberplates. Its original UK numberplates used to be ‘UXW 372’ at that time.
The car comes with substantial history that documents ownership, many files with bills and receipts until the years ‘60, pictures of its past, the original tool kit is complete and under the bonnet.

If you are an Aston Martin enthusiast who is looking for a beautiful car with character and great driving experience in a DB 2/4 MK III to participate in classic car rallies or tours, then you are having here a wonderful car to enjoy the upcoming season with. She is a beauty and wonderful to drive.
