Description

Professionally restored Aston Martin DB2 MKIII from 1958. Very rare model: only 462 of the 551 units produced were coupés. This example features an elegant dark blue exterior with a restored dark blue leather interior.

Mechanically sound, the engine, gearbox, clutch, and brakes operate correctly. It is an authentic right-hand-drive vehicle.

The Aston Martin DB2 MKIII is regarded as one of the most elegant and sought-after British GTs of the 1950s. Out of the 551 units produced, 462 were fixed-roof coupés and only 84 were drophead coupés, making this model highly exclusive. This 1958 example has been professionally restored and presents beautifully.

Technical specifications include a 2,922 cc inline-six engine, a 4-speed manual gearbox, and a mileage of 82,299 miles indicated. The chassis number is AM30031617. The vehicle has Dutch registration papers.

The bodywork and paint are in good condition, having been repainted with normal signs of use. The underside shows superficial rust and signs of an older restoration, with some areas like the crossmember above the exhaust in poor condition and oil leakage present. The tires have good tread but are dated from 2008.

The interior is nicely restored with light signs of use. The engine bay has an older restoration but presents honestly. The engine is in good condition, with correct fluid levels and proper maintenance. The battery is in good condition.

The clutch and gearbox are working correctly, and the brakes function properly. The handbrake requires adjustment, with the right side being weaker. The electrics, including horn, wipers, heater, and dashboard, are functional. Lighting works correctly.

The axles and suspension require repairs; there is significant play in the front left and noise from the rear axle.

Documentation is available, including Dutch registration papers. The vehicle is viewable at Oldtimerfarm, Lobulckstraat 9, 9880 Aalter. Full inspection reports can be requested via email or phone. Visits are possible with or without an appointment, and lift inspections are available. More than 300 classic cars and motorcycles are available nearby, just five minutes from the E40 Aalter exit.
