The DBZ Centenary Collection
In the early 1960s, British manufacturer Aston Martin and the design house Zagato, founded in Italy in 1919, collaborated to challenge the Ferrari 250 GTO on the racetracks of Europe. To achieve this ambitious goal, they built a lighter and more aerodynamic version of the DB4 GT, the DB4 GT Zagato, which competed at Le Mans in 1961 and 1962. The 19 examples built at that time went down in history as some of the most beautifully designed automobiles of all time. Many decades later, in 2019, the two icons celebrated the 100th anniversary of the Italian design house with a blend of legendary history and its modern interpretation. As the so-called DBZ Centenary Collection, the British manufacturer presented two very special models that were only available together. Each of the 19 pairs, consisting of the DB4 GT Zagato Continuation and the DBS GT Zagato, cost €8,000,000 gross at the time. We are offering one of these exclusive pairs for sale together or individually, first-hand.
