Description

1969 Aston Martin DBS Vantage 5 Speed Manual Original Factory Spec

Aston Workshop is proud to present this original manual DBS Vantage. Subject to recent sympathetic rebuild work which included a thorough chassis and body restoration and a respray in this Aston's original colour.

Finished in original factory specification Celeste Blue Metallic with Dark Blue Connolly leather, complimented by Dark Blue carpets, equipped with factory 5-speed ZF manual transmission and wood rim steering wheel.

First registered in 1969 and rare to the market, this Aston Martin DBS Vantage comes inclusive of a well-documented service history file, with no expense spared mechanically including MOT certificates, and service invoices. The vehicle has very recently undergone a bare metal repaint and chassis renovation work here at our world-renowned bodyshop. Now with a total of 71142 miles covered, this highly attractive DBS is being offered inclusive of full preparation, 12 months MOT, 6 months warranty ready to be driven and enjoyed by its new custodian.

Aston Martin had spent a large amount of the 1960s developing an all-new V8 engine however, the DBS was initially unveiled in 1967 with the straight-6 unit that had powered the outgoing DB6. Rarer than the Aston Martin V8 that succeeded the DBS, these 6-cylinder cars are quickly becoming one of the most desirable Astons due to their place as the final cars produced in the David Brown era. Our car comes from the ‘Series 1’ batch of production, identifiable by its smaller front air dam and iconic C pillar vents. Only 137 Series 1 cars were built with manual transmissions, and our car is even rarer due to it having the Vantage-spec engine producing 325bhp through the use of triple Weber carbs. Everything about this car adds to its rarity; we estimate only 20 DBS were produced in this fetching Celeste Blue exterior colour.
