Here is the ultimate version of the DBS Superleggera equipped with a V12 engine, before its disappearance from the catalog after only 5 years on the market. This coupe is part of the 300 units sold (not counting the Volante at 199 copies).
From an aesthetic point of view, this ultimate version of the DBS sports a significantly more aggressive front end with a new front splitter and side vents. The horseshoe grille testifies to the desire to ensure a supply of fresh air to the engine, while an unprecedented blade envelops this English supercar. The chassis has been reworked to improve front suspension and lateral stiffness, providing better torsional rigidity. In addition, the car is equipped with new 21-inch rims reserved for this edition, and it retains the same brake discs as the DBS Superleggera.
Inside this DBS you will find the optional Performance seats. Apart from these small details, the GT 2+2 does not present any significant changes compared to the standard DBS Superleggera, except for the use of carbon fibers on certain elements, such as the steering wheel paddles.
Under the hood, the 5.2-liter V12 engine develops 770 horsepower and 900 Nm of torque. This power is sent to the wheels through an 8-speed ZF automatic transmission. Gaydon engineers notably increased the boost pressure of the turbo and modified the ignition circuits. In addition, the transmission has been recalibrated for faster gear changes. Result, it shoots the 0 to 100 km / h in just 3.4 seconds.
