Beyond Your Wildest Dreams - Aston Martin Lagonda

Sometimes, a brand takes an unexpected leap, and that’s exactly what Aston Martin did with the Lagonda. In the 1970s, William Towns decided to shake things up and broke away from conventional car designs. While the automotive industry was still dominated by elegant, rounded lines, Towns threw all classic designs out the window and opted for sharp, angular lines. Who would come up with the idea of choosing such a futuristic and unconventional design in an era of flowing forms and refined aesthetics?

Towns thought far outside the box, and it was bold—but let’s be honest, it worked. The Lagonda was way ahead of its time: the first production car in the world with a fully digital dashboard and touch-sensitive controls. At the time, the Lagonda was also the most expensive production car in the world! In 1987, the Lagonda underwent a facelift, giving birth to the Series 4. This model featured a slightly softened design, with the sharp angles toned down, but its iconic character remained intact.

Only 72 left-hand drive (LHD) examples of the Aston Martin Lagonda Series 4 were ever produced worldwide, making this model one of the rarest. The Cool Classic Club is proud to present a stunning example: a Brussels-delivered model from 1992, one of the last to be produced. With a new price of 900,000 FF, this Lagonda was far from a bargain at the time. The vehicle is finished in the striking Lagonda Red, with an interior in Magnolia 3997 and dark red leather upholstery 3086, and it is in magnificent condition. This example comes with test reports, invoices from day one, and even email correspondence between the buyer and Aston Martin, completing the car’s documented history. Additionally, it boasts matching numbers and has been carefully maintained by Aston Martin Service Michiels in Belgium.
