The Golf in sheep's clothing: VW Jetta Mk1 GLI in diamond silver metallic with "Gazelle" fabric, the rare bronze tinted windows and already 5-speed manual transmission. According to Volkswagen, the car was produced on December 6, 1979. The Jetta was first presented in July 1979 and was produced from August 1979. This makes this GLi certainly one of the oldest in Germany - and definitely one of the best.
Original only about 86.00 km mileage. Body restored a few years ago and sealed with wax. Cup winner at the annual meeting of the Golf I IG in Wolfsburg. Extremely well maintained with up-to-date preparation of the almost flawless paint.
I bought the car 2010 with about 69.000 km from 2nd hand. Since then, I have invested around 3,200 euros in its maintenance, including changing the timing belt at the beginning of 2020. In my estimation, there is currently no maintenance backlog. Only the seats should be upholstered, because the foam carpet pad will dissolve over the years. But the fabric is undamaged.
