Description

Gateway Classic Cars Houston showroom is excited to offer this awesome Leadfoot Gray Factory Five '35 Hot Rod Truck. This is a 2021 Factory Five build with only 6 miles on it! In addition to its great looks, it has all the good stuff to back up the show with plenty of GO! Starting with a fresh Factory Five Racing '35 Hot Rod Truck kit, with its custom welded chassis, aluminum inner structure and fiberglass body, this truck has been built with a lot of attention to detail. The Axalta Leadfoot Gray and Performance Blue paint scheme really works well for this truck, and the hand pinstriping accents throughout let you know right away that this is a custom build. The new Griffin aluminum radiator is custom fit behind the Performance Blue shroud with its Deluxe Grill package. Its electric cooling fan helps keep the engine temps in check, while the stainless radiator hoses reduce the risk of hose rupture. A high-flow in-tank EFI fuel pump feeds the fresh Ford Racing 5.0L Coyote engine, which is backed by the performance-built 6R80 6-speed automatic transmission (with its auxiliary cooler) to provide the go. A new Lokar electronic shifter with sport mode handles gear selection, and the upgraded Moser 8.8" rear end handles getting that power to the ground. The ceramic coated shorty headers feed into the custom stainless Hot Rod Dual Exhaust and work together to provide just the right balance of muscle sound without being obnoxious or droning. The powder coated Factory Five tube-frame chassis is augmented with several performance enhancements, which combine to keep things wheels down and the tires glued to the pavement. This beast is equipped with Energy Suspension urethane bushings and body mounts, adjustable front control arms, adjustable 3-link rear suspension with Panhard bar, and Koni adjustable coil-overs at all 4 corners. A Ron Francis wiring harness handles electric distribution, and a Wilwood master cylinder provides distribution for the four-wheel disc brakes (including 11.65" rears) that are hiding behind the Matte Gray Bonneville-style Factory Five Racing aluminum wheels, which are 18" up front and 20" out back. A set of super sticky Mickey Thompson Street Comp performance radials (P245/40ZR18 up front, P305/35ZR20 out back) wrap those snazzy wheels, providing just the right combination of looks and performance. Speaking of looks - a close inspection of the paintwork will reveal very few, if any, flaws. Other subtle enhancements include LED headlights with integrated DRLs and turn signals, LED taillights, hand-dyed and hand-tooled leather door and tailgate straps, custom Cabot stained wood and stainless bed kit, and a full sound insulation kit ensure that function follows form. Inside, you'll note the custom polished billet steering wheel atop the iDIDit chrome tilt steering column, and the aforementioned hand-pinstriped dash. A complete set of AutoMeter Platinum gauges, including speedometer with GPS module, peer out through polished chrome bezels in their brushed aluminum dash. A Wilwood pedal box houses the custom pedal assembly, and a hand-stitched synthetic leather fabric covers the seats, console, and parking brake boot. You'll appreciate the brushed aluminum Hotrod interior door releases, and the power windows make for a nice touch. Three-point seat belts keep the occupants tucked in the seats, and the integrated roll cage enhance occupant safety. The professionally installed, custom cut carpet covers the custom foam core noise insulation and looks great. This build is so fresh out of the oven that you'll need to put it on a cooling rack before you enjoy it! Grab this custom-built hot rod truck before you miss out!
