The Junior was a small 3-box, 2-door sedan that was stylistically more in line with the fashions of the time: the front end was perhaps the most original part as it featured two large circular headlamps, housed in the front of the fenders, the latter protruding well above the sloping line of the hood and taking on an eyelid design at their top, so they did not merely encircle the headlamp frame, but rather further characterized the headlamps themselves by making them take on the appearance of a look. The Junior will also be remembered for this as the "DKW with eyelids."
The large full-width front grille that incorporated the turn signals should also be noted.
The Junior's driver's seat featured a two-spoke steering wheel behind which was a trapezoidal dashboard comprising a speedometer and three others among auxiliary gauges and indicators. The gearshift lever was located on the steering column, while a glove compartment was located on the right side of the dashboard, opposite the front passenger.
