The Ferves Ranger is a small off-road passenger car - spiaggina, produced by the Turin-based coachbuilder Ferves (an acronym for Ferrari special vehicles), from 1966 to 1971.
It was unveiled at the 1966 Turin motor show as a leisure and work car in "Normal" and "Cargo" trims.
Made on Fiat mechanicals, it used the suspension and brakes from the "600D," the front axle shafts from the Autobianchi Primula, while the powertrain and steering box were derived from the "500 F."
From the original brochure, the 4x2 version appears to have been designed by engineer Ferrari, the same as the Samas Yeti, for off-road and agricultural use.
The engine, located at the rear, and an air-cooled inline twin-cylinder with a displacement of 499.5 cm3, with a side camshaft. Power, unchanged from the standard Fiat powerplant, is 18 hp with a driving torque of 3.1 kgm at 3,000 rpm.
