1976 Pontiac Trans Am Street Warrior (CANADA) - $65,000 USD

Black exterior, black interior. Pontiac 535 engine by Butler Performance - 829HP Pump Gas, over 1100 HP with Nitrous. Automatic 6X TCI 6 speed overdrive transmission with paddle shifters. 9" rear axle by Mosser with Ladder Bars. Full Length 3.5" mandrel exhaust with 3 chamber mufflers. Over $85K USD spent just on performance parts alone. 1000 Watt Stereo with custom Sub Speaker Installation. Other than the role bar, this is a sleeper with show car looks. That is until you start her up and heads will turn. Factory Steel body. The intent was to maintain the original classic qualities, yet have an insane amount of power in a street car. This is a bracket engine built for street driving manners and durability. The only thing Edelbrock about the heads was they started as raw castings. Instead of a nitrous plate, the spray bar was mounted right through the plenum of the intake and a 2000 cfm throttle body. It has the first dual sync EFI distributor produced right off the test engine. Peak torque is at 5200 rpm and peak HP is 6900 rpm and has been tested to 7200 rpm. The engine is installed with both front and rear engine plates. This is a true street car with rear seats, so no wheel tubes for wide slicks. Full Interior is factory other than racing bucket front seats. The Autometer gauges are mounted cleanly in the factory locations and are a modern touch with carbon fiber finish. The exhaust has 2” ceramic coated Super Comp headers, 3.5” full length full length mandrel bent exhaust with handmade 3.5” x pipe and even duplicated the factory style dual tail pipes by hand making them 3.5” and chrome plating, the 3 chamber Flowmaster mufflers are so large they had to be notched to fit the frame cross over and axle yoke. The TCI 6X tranny has a Reid SFI removable bell housing and is run by a fully programmable race controller by PCS and paddle shifters with display was installed after the photos and video. The transmission lines to the oil cooler are solid bent stainless steel with Swagelok fittings and they were fished through the frame hiding the lines out of site. The firewall was completely flattened out after removing the heater and the fuel lines were routed through the cowl area and enter the engine bay through the top of the fire wall with flushed flush mounted fittings. The rear axle is a Ford 9” by Moser with oversized bearings, 35 spline shafts, a Detroit Locker rated for high HP, 3.89 gears, ladder bar suspension, and Willwood brakes. The front suspension is factory with the addition of adjustable QA1 coil over shocks on all 4 corners. 2 full days on an engine dyno & 10 hours of street driving to tune the FAST XFI fuel injection. There is a switch to change between 4 engine programs. The XFI also has built in traction control. Can add programs to have multiple modes of driving. The body is all steal, had no rust ever other than a small bubble on a fender which a patch was cut out of another fender. It seems impossible to find 76 front bumpers that are not spider cracked, so a one off fiberglass bumper was hand made with a steel impact bar. 275 60R15 rear street tires were used for the video/pics but the car also comes with 10.5x28 slicks on 15x10 matching rims. Competed in the 2012 Rimbey 200 foot street shoot out. It won the street tire class, drove over 1 hour there on the highway, raced and drove home all on less than 1 tank of pump gas.This car was featured in Pontiac Enthusiast July 2010. The Stereo has 2 Amps, a capacitor, 10” subs custom mounted, front kick panel speakers, and modern CD player with blue tooth and hands free calling. I have a binder with the manuals for the performance parts, and I even made a wiring schematic of the electrical systems for the nitrous, fans, water pump, gauges, switches and relays. Invested in this build was over $85k USD just in performance parts. This does not include buying the car, restoration parts, show car body work, $20k for a mirror finish paint job, and over 2000 hours of skilled fabrication and customization to implement an engineer street warrior. You cannot build this car for less than $200k USD. I have the dyno sheets and a full appraisal with points scoring for the condition of every aspect of the car and a full spread sheet of all the parts and costs.Please watch the video on You Tube channel Flyin Ryan which includes driving and dyno footage, but computer speaker do not do the sound justice.
