Description

BMW 325i E30 M-Technic for saleThe BMW E30 325i Convertible is a classic model from the second generation of BMW's 3 Series, produced between 1982 and 1994. This particular model gained popularity for its sleek design, impressive performance, and open-top driving experience. Powered by a smooth and responsive 2.5L inline-six engine, the E30 325i Convertible offered a balanced combination of power and handling, enhanced by rear-wheel drive. As part of BMW’s iconic E30 lineup, it remains a beloved choice for enthusiasts. The example we have here is a very rare version of the BMW M-Technic package, known as the 796. It is believed that only 40 cars were produced in this variant, with just 23 featuring a manual transmission.Exterior: This is a very special BMW E30 325i Convertible. The first thing you might wonder is whether the car should have M badges, and the answer is yes. This is a very rare M-Technic version of the BMW E30, more specifically the 796 variant. Unlike the M-Technic versions called 335 and 798, this version did not feature the exterior M-Tech aerodynamics package, making it somewhat confusing for enthusiasts. However, the exterior did include sport suspension (10mm lower), 7x15 BBS wheels, and the Shadowline package, which included body-colored bumpers and window frames instead of the chrome found on normal pre-facelift models. This car also boasts an individual color (Sonderlack), a stunning Macau Blue, which was one of two options available with this package—Macao Blau or Nogaro Silber. The exterior is in excellent condition, showing no signs of corrosion and featuring a high-quality paint job. It is complemented by a dark blue soft top, which is in perfect condition.Interior: Inside, the M-Technic package and additional equipment become even more evident in this BMW E30 325i. The interior features a Walknappa leather upholstery in the color Silber (0319), which is in excellent condition. The M-Technic features extend to an M-Tech steering wheel, M shift knob, sport seats, a leather-trimmed center console, and leather-trimmed door cards with M-specific stitching. Another rare feature unique to the 796 version is an electric soft top, which functions as it should. Additionally, the car comes with the rare option of air conditioning, though it is currently not working.Engine and Mechanics: Despite the M-Technic package, the engine and mechanics of the BMW E30 325i remain standard. However, this is certainly not a drawback, as the original drivetrain in these cars is brilliant. The engine, known as the M20B25, is renowned for being fun and reliable. It produces 170 hp and delivers a great exhaust note. The engine’s powerband is well-balanced, making the car both easy and enjoyable to drive. The engine is paired with a five-speed manual transmission. All mechanical components of the car are in excellent condition.History and Documentation: This BMW E30 325i was originally sold in Kaiserslautern, Germany, in 1989. However, it was imported to Sweden the same year. Since then, the car has had five owners in total and has been properly maintained. It comes with extensive documentation, its original books, both keys, and complete service history. If you live in Sweden and would like to sell your classic Ferrari, please let us know here.
