This BMW 507 is one of 218 examples of Series II out of a total of only 252 507s produced. It has a certificate from BMW Classic confirming its original delivery condition. According to this certificate, the roadster was completed at the factory on February 14, 1958. Delivery took place on March 23, 1958 to the BMW dealer Wolfgang Denzel in Vienna, Austria. The color of the delivery was silver blue metallic - a rare paint finish that was only delivered 15 times ex works. The scope of delivery included an optional coupé roof, which still exists today. According to the BMW certificate, the engine is the original unit.
The example returned to Germany in 2013 after around 40 years in Spanish ownership. In 2008, the 507 took part in the historic Mille Miglia.
This example with its current delivery specification offers a rare opportunity. The car has not been driven for several years and should be technically checked. The engine runs superbly. It is recommended to repaint the vehicle in the delivery color Light Blue Metallic. Repainting with bare metal would require some minor body work.
The car has a rust-free underbody assembly. The wheel arches also show no signs of corrosion damage. The car should be ice blasted from underneath to remove the old underbody protection.
