Description

The BMW 633 CSI was part of the first-generation 6 Series, internally designated as the E24. Introduced in the 1970s, it was positioned as a larger, sport-oriented coupe in the upper mid-range segment. The model succeeded the BMW E9 coupes and formed the basis for a series that remained in production for many years, combining comfort, long-distance capability, and a distinctive driving character. In its early years, the 633 CSI was one of the most important variants within that series.

The 633 CSI was equipped with BMW's inline-six engine family, occupying a position between less powerful versions and the higher-specification six-cylinder variants. The 6 Series was marketed as a coupe with a grand tourer character, appealing to buyers seeking a sporty car with more space and practicality than a traditional two-seater sports car. By 1982, the E24 was mid-production and had secured a permanent place in BMW’s lineup.

Built during a period when BMW was establishing its reputation for technically oriented, rear-wheel-drive models, the E24’s body design drew inspiration from the larger 7 Series, giving it a business-like appearance. Despite this, the car remained focused on dynamics and driver engagement. This combination made the 633 CSI a distinctive presence among German coupes of the 1980s.

The 1982 BMW 633 CSI is in running condition. Both the interior and exterior are generally in good condition. The E24 was appreciated from the beginning for its clean lines, long hood, and proportionally balanced body. Mechanically, the 6 Series was closely related to the BMW 5 and 7 Series of the same period, emphasizing conventional yet well-thought-out solutions.

This 1982 BMW 633 CSI is an early model of the E24 series and represents the classic BMW coupe of the 1980s. It is in running condition with generally good interior and exterior condition. For a better understanding of the lot, attending the viewing day is recommended.
