The third generation, introduced in 1998, was the first M5 that did not have the typical BMW six cylinder, but a V8 developed separately by M-gmbh under the hood. The S62 was also the first BMW V8 with variable timing on the camshafts for intake and exhaust, delivering 400hp at 6600rpm. More than enough for spectacular performances with a 0-100 sprint within 5s and an unlimited top speed of more than 300kmh.

This January 2000 model was delivered new to Sweden and has had only 2 owners since. With 64dkm it is no wonder that the accident free bodywork is in immaculate condition, the paintwork is completely original except for the right front screen and a spot repair at the left rear. Rare is the chosen color Avusblau metallic in combination, the bright aluminum frames around the safety glass and the black walknappa over the comfort seats equipped with seat massage. Extensively documented, of course complete with all stamped books.
