This lot will be auctioned via Iconic Auctioneers, The Classic Sale at Supercar Fest 2026 on Saturday, 16th May, at Sywell Aerodrome, Sywell, Northampton, NN6 0BN.
Launched in 2006, the BMW M5 with its V10 engine remains one of the most exotic models of its kind. Developed during BMW’s peak in Formula 1, it was powered by a 5.0-litre, naturally aspirated V10 producing 507 bhp at 7,750 rpm and 520 Nm of torque at 6,100 rpm, fed through a 7-speed SMG 'Drivelogic' gearbox.
Performance was sensational, with 0-62 mph taking just 4.8 seconds and a theoretical top speed of 203 mph when the speed limiter was deactivated.
The car is finished in Silver Grey Metallic over black leather, complemented by a matching set of Michelin Pilot Sport 4 tires. The indicated mileage at the time of consignment was approximately 78,600 miles, and the vehicle presents well throughout.
Crucially, for an E60 M5, there is evidence that the rod bearings and the SMG hydraulic motor were replaced in August 2021. Its most recent service was carried out at approximately 78,473 miles.
The car is supplied with its dealer handbooks, BMW service book, and an array of previous invoices and MOT certificates.
Although Chris Bangle's styling was somewhat divisive when the car was launched, over time the E60 has become increasingly appreciated. The organ-rearranging thrust from that ballistic V10 remains positively addictive.
