In the 80s, the German brand BMW introduced the new 5-series (model E28), as the long-awaited successor to the first generation 5-series. The result was a particularly dynamic and stylish sedan with clearly recognizable BMW elements. And of course this model was also equipped with wonderful and powerful engines, including this rare M535i version.

This original Dutch BMW M535i was produced in 1986 and delivered by the then BMW dealer in Nijkerk. The service booklet is present and partly stamped. The last owner has owned the car since 1989 and has always maintained it with great love and care. Recent maintenance invoices are also present.

This beautiful BMW M535i still has its original Arktisblau metallic color with the matching, still completely original interior. The car has suffered some traces of use over time, but is still in very good condition. The original sliding-tilting roof works properly. The body color has a deep shine, the car has been partly repainted in the past. The body parts fit together well and the various rubber and trim parts are also still in excellent condition. The original tool set in the boot lid is also still complete.

The interior is in very neat condition. The seat upholstery is still very neat and shows a few spots of wear. These are easy to fix, but the previous owner wanted to retain as much of the originality as possible. The seats are very comfortable, as you would expect from this BMW. The dashboard is in good condition and all instruments work properly. It is particularly nice to see how everything is still original and in such a neat condition.

As befits a real BMW, this M535i is also a wonderful driver's car. The 3430cc six-cylinder in-line engine delivers sufficient power (218 hp) to drive both sporty and comfortable. The engine runs very smoothly and quietly. The manual gearbox is not only perfect for this car, but also shifts very smoothly. The brakes feel firm and solid. While driving, it is clear that this car has been maintained with great care and expertise.

The special M535i version makes this classic car particularly interesting in several ways. Not only because of the beautiful appearance or the dynamic driving characteristics, but also because this car will only become more valuable in the future.
