This BMW was first registered on September 14, 1970 and was owned by the same, first owner until no less than 2006. The last owner enjoyed this car for exactly 7 years. Meanwhile, the APK obligation and motor vehicle tax in the Netherlands has expired for this 55 year old car, so it is worry-free driving for the next owner! EXTERIOR Executed in the beautiful red / brown color 'Granat Rot' it is a beautiful appearance. Chrome work can be found in many places, including fully chrome bumpers and mirrors. The wheels also feature chrome hubcaps. Distinctive features include dual round headlights, high-set front turn signals and beautiful round taillights centered by the turn signals. The optical condition is without original with minimal user marks. The paintwork is in clean condition with no significant damage. Also, the fits of seams are correct. Except for the windshield, all windows are original. INTERIOREven the black leather / fabric interior is still in very original condition with the original Blaupunkt radio. The seats and door panels are free of damage. The rest of the interior is also in clean condition with minimal signs of use. Thanks to the many windows, a particularly good view to the outside is offered. The front seats have headrests. Also in the rear 2 people can be seated. The rear windows open outwards. The trunk space is surprisingly spacious and under the flat loading floor the spare tire is stored.TECHNICALThe 1,990 cc 4-cylinder engine (type M10) is mated to a 4-speed manual transmission and drives the rear wheels. It was the largest engine available on the model. Guaranteed driving pleasure, then, as befits a BMW. The car starts, shifts, steers and brakes properly. The car has been well maintained. Around are 4 tires in good condition. GeneralThe 2002 is model from the 02 series of BMW: a middle-class 2-door car that was built from 1966 to 1977. In addition to producing more expensive models, this model was to represent a compact GT with sporty driving characteristics. This basically made it an early version of the current 3-series. The model proved to be a success, even in racing. This was mainly due to a short wheelbase and a low center of gravity. In 1968, the more powerful 2002 was introduced, with één Solex carburetor. More sporty versions featured injection (ti) or a turbocharger. A total of 861,940 examples of the BMW 02 (the 1600-2, 1602, 1802, 2002) were made.
