Description

A BMW 2002 GR2...well, we don't find many of them anymore. It dates from April 1974. (BMW 2002 Tii)

For the record, this model is eligible for the Tour de France Auto and the Rallye Monte Carlo Historique.

It is registered in its owner's name.

This one is remarkable for its equipment. A reliable and torquey 170/180 hp engine, tuned by GEMO SPORT.

The engine has approximately 600 km of special stages and liaisons. Complete top and bottom end preparation
2000 cc displacement
Crankshaft balancing with clutch installed
Reinforced clutch
Forged pistons and connecting rods
Competition camshaft
Polished intake/exhaust ducts
Oil cooler

TRANSMISSION
GETRAG 5 gearbox, sports version (first gear bottom left)

Intermediate axle (approx. 170 km/h top speed)
Balanced driveshaft, reinforced bell housing

SUSPENSION AND BRAKES

BILSTEIN shock absorbers and recalibrated springs. The whole assembly was done at R-TEC
2002 Turbo ventilated front discs, Gr2 homologated, Carbone-Lorraine pads. Rear drum brakes

BODY
The body is in very good condition, sound, the rocker panels have been replaced. A few small marks illustrate its past.

FFSA-approved bolted 6-point roll cage. Completed with a rear bar behind the seats and HANS mountings for increased rigidity. Work carried out at Jacques Point.
Makrolon glazing for the rear quarter and rear windows. The front and rear windows are available.

The additional headlight kit is sold with the car.

Today, this BMW 2002 GR2 no longer has a valid PTH.

It's a good deal. It's equipped with quality parts and has proven its reliability in major events, both in historic rallies and hill climbs.

Today, building a car equipped like this would cost double its retail price.

In the event of a serious offer, a test drive will be possible on the gravel track at the Pôle Mécanique d'Alès.
