Description

The 1963 Buick Electra 225 was the flagship of Buick's lineup, representing the pinnacle of General Motors' C-body luxury shared with Cadillac. By 1963, Buick had refined its styling by removing the dramatic fins of the late '50s in favor of a sleeker, boxier profile with horizontal quad headlights. The 225 designation originally referred to the car's massive overall length of 225 inches, earning it the famous street name Deuce and a Quarter. Although not officially named the Wildcat 455, but it was frequently equipped with the 401 cubic-inch "Nailhead" V8 engine, commonly branded as the Wildcat 445. The numerical designation referred to the engine’s peak torque rating of approximately 455lbs per foot rather than its displacement. Standard options included power steering and brakes, cornering lights and a Safety-X-Frame with new suspension geometry designed to prevent it from squatting during acceleration and diving during braking. This particular example is equipped with its original 401ci V8 Nailhead mated to a Turbine Drive automatic transmission that delivers effortless power. This particular example was repainted in its original color of Bronze Mist approximately 15 years ago and it still looks amazing. It has its original White and Sandlewood interior that has held up incredibly well, especially considering its age. The original driveline has been serviced regularly and runs perfectly. With the exception of the horn and clock everything is working as it should. With its iconic styling, pristine condition and low-mileage this Wildcat 455 is priced to sell quickly so if you like what you see we encourage you to reach out before it is too late!
