1972 Buick Riviera
This beautiful "Boat tail" design was created by Jerry Hirshberg under GM Design Chief Bill Mitchell. It was a radical change of contemporary automobile design and opened up the flood gates of gorgeous 70's car body sculptures. Hated by some but loved by many, this model year is highly sought after and extremely rare. The tail end and sweep spear sides mated to the shark like hood and grille creates an aggressive impression. Powered by a throaty 455 it accelerates you down the highway with floating ease. This particular specimen wears the original 'Deep Chestnut Metallic' (GM color code 67), which highlights the chrome very well. Paired to the optional cloth interior with 60-40 front seats. It also sports the optional top fender signal marker indicators as well as optional side marker lights and the rare 3/4 Landau roof. All this sits on a set of RWL "Good Year Eagle GTII" wheels. Featured in the "Riview" magazine issue of Jan./Febr. Vol.38 #1 of the Riviera Owners Association USA! Condition of the car is near mint inside, outside and all around side and as close to a Concours Edition as you can come, which is evident in the pictures.
Included with the car are printed material, such as Maintenance Manual & Records, Sales Brochures and various magazines.
NOT included: Eagles and Snake Grille Ornament will be removed!
