Description

1953 Chevrolet Bel Air Tin Woodie Wagon

This classic wagon features a 250ci straight-six engine with a Holley HP EFI carburetor system known for its self-tuning capabilities. The transmission is a rebuilt TH350 automatic 3-speed, serviced in May 2025.

It is equipped with power rack and pinion steering, front disc brakes, and a custom front suspension with coil-over shocks and an anti-sway bar. An electric cooling fan and air conditioning add to the comfort.

The interior boasts classic instruments, a custom tilt steering column, a Lacarra steering wheel, and a tan vinyl/cloth interior with chrome headliner trim and custom door panels. The stereo system includes speakers and a Kenwood AM/FM CD stereo.

Wheels are 15-inch Crager rims fitted with BFG radial tires, replaced in 2025. The exterior is painted in a custom Key Lime Kiwi two-tone color that attracts attention everywhere it goes.

Recent repairs and service from 2023 to 2026 include a new brake master cylinder, headlight dimmer switch, valve cover gasket, wiper blades, inner tie rod ends, dome light, battery, differential gasket, and spark plugs.

The vehicle was featured in the 2012 Hot Rod Magazine. It was purchased in Texas in 2023 with documentation from the previous owner. The body shows no visible rust or rust bubbles. The electronic fuel injection system is reliable and easy to drive. The paint has some chips, cracks, and imperfections, with a small paint bubble on the driver’s side lower front fender. The engine is an older rebuild with some blue exhaust smoke on cold start-up. The stereo is currently non-operational, and the AC needs Freon refilling.

The odometer shows approximately 3,700 miles. Included are recent documentation and receipts. The vehicle has a clear California title, current DMV registration, and custom personalized plates that transfer with the car.
