Description

In the vast history of the autoverse, it is hard to beat a Tri-Five Chevy in terms of fanfare and collectability. One look at this fully repainted and restored maroon 1955 Chevrolet Bel Air 2 Door Sedan, and it's easy to see why. The straight lines, polished chrome, and two-door post configuration give this Chevy a classically aggressive stance from any angle.

Inside, we find a gorgeous all-new custom grey vinyl interior featuring a wood-rimmed steering wheel situated nicely in front of a column-mounted tach. Just beyond that is a set of Westach vintage-style gauges embedded in a shimmering machined dash panel. Cold blowing aftermarket air conditioning utilizes the stock HVAC controls, while a Retro Stereo AM/FM/CD changer head unit is mounted in the dash with both kick-panel and rear package tray speakers and a CD changer mounted in the trunk.

Under the hood sits Chevy's venerable 350 cubic-inch V-8 engine. This particular motor is topped with a four-barrel Carter AFB carburetor and Edelbrock intake manifold while it exhales spent gasses through a set of shorty headers and true dual exhaust. Power is funneled through a TH400 three-speed automatic transmission before heading out to the ten-bolt rear end and onto a set of fifteen-inch American Racing wheels shod in 235/75R-15 rubber, while a slightly narrow 225/70R-15 set handles steering responsibilities upfront.
