Rather than simply restoring this C10 to original specifications, the build retains its unmistakable 1972 character while incorporating modernized components throughout. Power comes from a professionally built Chevrolet 350ci small-block V8 equipped with an Edelbrock 750 4-barrel carburetor, polished aluminum intake manifold, chrome Chevrolet valve covers, polished accessories, and a complete billet aluminum serpentine accessory drive. The engine compartment has been extensively detailed, with components finished in chrome, polished aluminum, or silver ceramic coating. Long-tube silver ceramic-coated headers feed a dual exhaust system, while red spark plug wires and carefully routed accessories complete the performance-oriented presentation.
Behind the 350 is a 700R4 4-speed automatic overdrive transmission with a locking torque converter and electric switch control. The overdrive fourth gear makes this classic pickup considerably more comfortable on the highway by reducing engine RPM at cruising speeds. The combination provides traditional small-block character while adding modern drivability.
The restomod treatment continues underneath. During the frame-off build, the frame was removed, media blasted, and refinished, with the moving components of the undercarriage restored and painted. The truck features a new power steering gear and pump, along with an upgraded braking system featuring power front disc brakes, drilled and slotted front rotors, specially coated calipers, new pads, and refreshed rear drums and hardware. A shortened and balanced driveshaft with heavy-duty universal joints connects the drivetrain, while a custom aluminum fuel tank and stainless-steel battery box further modernize the chassis.
The exterior retains the iconic 1972 C10 shape while receiving a striking custom treatment. Deep metallic blue covers the upper body while bright metallic silver finishes the lower section, separated by a multi-color pinstripe accent. A cowl-induction steel hood, billet Phantom-style grille, chrome front bumper, and chrome door handles give the truck a strong custom appearance. The short bed features a locking fiberglass tonneau cover with dual hydraulic gas struts and a black spray-on bedliner.
A lowered stance gives the C10 a modern street-truck appearance, complemented by polished 5-spoke Centerline-style chrome wheels and Michelin performance tires. The combination of the short-bed body, lowered suspension, large polished wheels, and two-tone finish gives this truck a distinctive show-quality presence.
Inside, the custom interior continues the restomod theme with a gray 60/40 split-bench seat, plush gray carpeting, modern 3-point seatbelts, and a body-matched blue metal dashboard. A Dakota Digital instrument panel with blue illumination provides modern instrumentation while retaining the vintage character of the C10 cockpit. Chrome detailing includes the gauge bezel, ashtray, glove box door, dash vents, rearview mirror, and inner door panels.
A chrome tilt steering column is paired with a 3-spoke leather-wrapped billet steering wheel, billet pedals, and modern power-window controls. Comfort and convenience upgrades include air conditioning with polished aluminum dash vents, cruise control, and power windows. One-piece side glass replaces the original vent-wing configuration, giving the cab a cleaner custom appearance.
