Description

This lot will be auctioned via Iconic Auctioneers, The Classic Sale at CarFest 2026 on Saturday the 29th of August and Sunday the 30th of August at The Wing, Silverstone Circuit, NN12 8TN.

This 1968 Chevrolet Camaro SS is finished in classic Tuxedo Black with a matching black vinyl interior. It combines iconic first-generation styling with the desirable RS/SS specification.

The RS was an appearance package featuring a special grille treatment with different headlamps from standard Camaros, RS badging, and unique chrome and blackout trim.

Powered by a 5.7-litre (350ci) V8 producing a quoted 375bhp when new, it is paired with a highly sought-after 4-speed manual gearbox for an engaging driving experience.

Originally supplied new to California in 1968, the car was imported to the UK in 2019. It underwent a mechanical overhaul after arriving in the UK, with the work believed to have been completed to a high standard.

The vehicle benefits from professional storage within a significant private collection and has seen only minimal use during current ownership.

A well-presented, well-sorted example of Chevrolet's legendary muscle car, offering an excellent opportunity to acquire a highly desirable and usable piece of American motoring history.
